Early this week, a notorious cultist Babatunde Alamutu, allegedly a top member of the eiye fraternity was killed in he Elega area of Abeokuta, Ogun state.
He was killed following the clash of two rival cults, leaving three persons, including him, dead.
The clash, which started around 7a.m., lasted for three hours as residents and shop owners hurriedly closed their doors and stayed in-doors for hours.
Babatunde Alamutu was popularly known as Emir of Elega, and is said to have caused a lot of crisis before his death. He was reportedly attacked immediately after his wedding introduction held at Elega Junction in the area.
Since the incident on Monday, shops around Elega, Ajitadun, Ago ika, Arinlese, Saje, Ago odo and Ita ika area of Abeokuta were locked for the better part of the week.
