Sony cancels the release of 'The Interview 'after hacking & 911-style terrorist threats by North Korea

Sony has officially shut down the release of"The Interview" after hackers not only leaked confidential emails, but threatened 911 style attacks on movie theatres which air the film.
The Interview,is a comedy about two journalists - James Franco and Seth Rogen - recruited by the CIA to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

The federal government confirmed that North Korea was behind the massive hack .'Sony said in a statement....
'In light of the decision by the majority of our exhibitors not to show the film The Interview, we have decided not to move forward with the planned December 25 theatrical release,'  Sony Pictures has no further release plans for the film,'
This despite the fact that the film cost $42million to make and tens of millions to market.
Many Hollywood stars have voiced their displeasure over Sony bowing to pressure. They feel this signals the end of the creative industry as anyone who doesn't want a film aired can just threaten worry attacks.

The hackers started by leaking emails between Sony execs in which they slammed actors like ,Angelina Jolie,Kevin Hart and more .
