Gretti
Many Nigerians may not have known Zara when she was alive but her death
touched the hearts of a lot of people. The gifted songstress who lost
her life at the age of 28 battled with multiple sclerosis
for 2 years before giving up the ghost. For those who do not know what
multiple sclerosis is, it is deadly disease in which the body’s immune
system eats continuously away at the protective tissue covering it
called Myelin. Myelin damage could lead to irreversible damage of nerve
cells. Zara had hit tracks like Abokuku, Flyest, and Teno. A struggling
artiste making her way to fame, her battle with the disease also spilled
into social media as she pleaded tirelessly with Nigerians in cyberspace to help save her life. She died way too soon.
