Nigeria’s Police Complaint Response Unit has stated that despite widely held belief, bail is free in Nigeria.This stance was made known in a sensitization drive on social media, Police CRU tweeted:

 “Bail is free. You are not expected to pay for bail.Women are equally eligible to stand surety.”

French footballer Karim Benzema was arrested Wednesday in connection with blackmail over a sextape featuring fellow player Mathieu Valbuena, a source close to the probe told AFP.

Gowon Jack Musa, a k a Jack Spence, a son of Nigeria’s former head of state, General Yakubu Gowon has reportedly been released from a prison in the United States after 22 years of imprisonment for a drug-related offence.
Jack Musa was arrested on November 18, 1992, for conspiring to import in excess of 1kg of heroin into the United States. Detectives found, in his room, a Swiss Air Global Hotel Guide on which Musa had written a reference to “The Heroin Connection.” .

Nigerians Dig Up, Eat Contaminated Chicken Buried by Customs in Rivers

These are some of the answers that I considered after hearing this story of how some people in Rivers state dug up chicken buried by men on the Nigerian customs last week Saturday.

According to Tell.ng  there was pandemonium near the Trailer Park at Ebubu in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers when scores of youth, women and children descended on a burrow pit; dug out and took home several tonnes of chicken condemned and buried by men of the Nigerian Customs.

The scavengers came with shovels, pans, basins and buckets to cart their loot home.
Last Friday, operatives of the Nigerian customs dug out a canal there and buried thousands of cartons of frozen poultry they seized at the Onne Ports. Witnesses said the chicken were brought in six containers, emptied and buried before the customs party left.

Activision Blizzard Buys Candy Crush Game Maker King Digital For $5.9 Billion

Sometime in April this year, I did a story on how much the game Candy Crush was making, so I'm not even surprised that the company behind the game has been bought for a staggering sum of $5.9 billion.

The company King Digital Entertainment was acquired by Call of Duty publisher Activision Blizzard  in a deal worth $5.9 billion.

Describing the deal, King CEO Riccardo Zacconi said that his company had built one of the largest networks of players on Facebook and on mobile devices, noting that King's games had 474 million monthly active users in the third quarter of 2015.

China unveils it's first-ever passenger jet!

China has unveiled its first-ever passenger jet built and designed by the country. The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. (COMAC), which is China's owned aviation manufacturer, unveiled the first C919 aircraft at its factory in Shanghai yesterday November 2nd.

The single-aisle narrow-body jet is designed to seat 168 passengers, and has a standard flight range of 2,532 miles (4,075 kilometres), which means the aircraft can fly non-stop from Shanghai to Kuala Lumpur or from New York City to Los Angeles. Continue to see more photos ...
